The title best describes this painting. It originates from the book of Genesis in the Bible about the Tree of Good of Evil. It is intended to depict the struggle that Adam and Eve went through in the Garden of Eden. I view this as the period after the “Fall” when they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. I surmise that looking back toward the Garden as they were leaving this is probably what they saw…not something that they enjoyed but rather something that caused their ultimate destruction…….Fallen.
